This vegan BLT sandwich is an easy, delicious and a high protein snack or lunch that comes together super quickly. All you need is 4 ingredients (5 if you are also using vegan mayonnaise) and a few minutes to assemble them together. Just as the classic this sandwich contains bacon (but a vegan version), lettuce, tomato and bread.

Use vegan bacon that you love for this recipe and one that’s available in your area. I am using Plenty Reasons meatless bacon which is smoky, salty and full of flavour. It makes this sandwich very enjoyable. Stack as many pieces of vegan bacon in the sandwich to make it to your liking.

For the bread you can choose whatever bread you prefer. I like to use an oat bran bagel and if not available in stores, I make my own bagel at home. Another good option would be a baguette. You can toast the bread before assembling the sandwich for that nice crunch.

The other two ingredients are not complicated, just make sure you choose fresh and ripe tomatoes and lettuce. The optional ingredient in this sandwich is vegan mayonnaise. I left it out this time but if I would add it, I would go for Bonsan organic cocomayo.

This vegan BLT sandwich is a really great option when you’re in a hurry or just don’t want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen to prepare a delicious meal. It’s a great sandwich to pack on road trips, to take with you to work or on a hike. If you like simple recipes that also deliver in flavour then this sandwich should be your choice.
