This bruschetta is an easy and delicious appetizer that you can share with other people. Cherry tomatoes are mixed with fresh basil, oregano and olive oil then placed on top of crispy homemade baguette.
Topping: 250 g cherry tomatoes sliced thinly 2 tbsp chiffonade fresh basil 1 tsp chiffonade fresh oregano a pinch of salt 15 ml (1 tbsp) olive oil For the crispy baguette: 1 baguette I like to make my own at home 30 - 45 ml (2-3 tbsp) olive oil
Slice cherry tomatoes into small pieces, cut fresh basil and fresh oregano into small ribbons. Mix together in a small bowl. Add salt and 15 ml (1 tbsp) of olive oil. Mix again. Put the bowl in the refrigerator to chill. Slice baguette into round pieces and brush every piece with olive oil on both sides. Arrange slices on a baking tray. Bake at 220 °C for 7 min. Arrange toasted bread on a plate. Take the chilled cherry tomato mix out of the refrigerator, mix it a little bit again, then place it on top of warm crunchy bread.
