Vegan Matcha Latte (GF)

This vegan matcha latte is a creamy, helathy and delicious drink that will give a consistent energy throughout the day. It's a delightful way to start your morning. Medjool dates are used to sweetened this drink naturally and cashew butter is added to mellow the taste of matcha.

Ingredients
 

  • 240 ml (1 cup) unsweetened cashew or almond milk
  • 1 tsp matcha powder
  • 12 g (2 tsp) roasted cashew butter
  • 1 medjool date pitted
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla powder

Optional decoration:

  • a sprinkle of matcha powder

Instructions
 

  • Put all ingredients in a blender and mix well.
  • Pour the latte in a pot and heat it over the stove. Don't boil it.
  • Transfer the latte into a cup and sprinkle some matcha powder on top if desired.
  • For the iced matcha latte, skip the heating, make sure to use chilled plant based milk from the fridge and pour the content from the blender into a glass with ice cubes.

*If you wish you can make your own cashew or almond milk at home.
